Edition 2025 — Nero a Montopoli

The 2025 edition of "Nero a Montopoli" inaugurated the summer black truffle season with walks, show cooking, and themed menus in local restaurants. The festival confirmed the Municipality's formal membership in the National Association of Truffle Cities, strengthening the bond between Montopoli and this gastronomic excellence of the Pisan Valdarno.

The 2025 festival kicked off on Sunday, June 8 with the "On the trail of the black truffle" walk, departing at 9:00 AM from Piazza San Matteo in the historic centre of Montopoli. On Friday, June 19, the night walk took place, meeting at the Arco di Castruccio. Throughout the months of August and September, participating restaurants offered special black truffle-based menus every Thursday as part of the "Dining with black truffle" initiative. During 2025, the City Council unanimously approved the statute and regulations that formalized Montopoli's membership in the National Association of Truffle Cities.
