Edition 2025 — Needle Festival

Before the debut of the Needle Festival, the Needle Association had already enlivened Barone Canavese with the Hill Trail Canavese, the charity race that reached its second edition on May 17, 2025. Sport, music, and conviviality serving health and educational projects in South Sudan: it is from this experience that the actual festival was born in 2026.

On May 17, 2025, Barone Canavese hosted the second edition of the Hill Trail Canavese, the sporting and charity event promoted by the Needle Association that preceded the birth of the Needle Festival.

The event started at 4:00 PM from the sports center on Via Torino and offered two routes through the Canavese hills: a 5 km walk and a 9 km run. The 25-euro registration fee included a dinner with an aperitif at 7:30 PM, with a portion of the proceeds going to support the hospital in Wau, South Sudan. After dinner, the evening continued with live music and a cocktail bar, in a convivial atmosphere that combined sport and solidarity.
