'Ndernappe and Pallotte Casce e Ove Festival

The 'Ndernappe and Pallotte Casce e Ove Festival enlivened Monteodorisio on July 26 and 27, 2025, in Piazza Umberto I. The event, managed by the Pro Loco Contea di Monteodorisio, was part of a summer particularly rich in events in the Abruzzo village, including festivals, concerts, and popular celebrations. The protagonists of the festival were once again the two iconic dishes of the local tradition: 'ndernappe, a dark pasta made of flour and bran, and pallotte casce e ove, pecorino, breadcrumb, and egg dumplings cooked in sauce. The evenings, with stalls opening at night, combined good food with live music, confirming the festival as one of the most beloved gastronomic events of the Vasto summer.
