National Festival of Polentone alla Carbonara and Festival of the Ugly

The 531st edition of the National Festival of Polentone alla Carbonara took place in Piobbico from September 6th to 8th, 2025, with the main day on Sunday, September 7th. The festival, organized by Pro Loco Piobbico, reaffirmed the inseparable bond between the Montefeltro village and its ancient recipe based on polenta cooked in a copper pot, lard, pepper, pecorino cheese, and the secret sufrangolo from Monte Nerone.

Sunday began at 9:00 AM with the traditional nativity scene fair, followed at 10:00 AM by the opening of the food stalls and the year's new feature, the masterclass in Piazza Sant'Antonio dedicated to the secrets of preparation. The stalls also enlivened Viale Marconi. The festival served as a preview for the Festival of the Ugly, which took place from September 12th to 14th, 2025, with the election of the new World President of the Club of the Ugly, founded in 1879.
