The Lonigo Christmas

Natale a Lonigo is the major Christmas event that, every year, enlivens the town in the province of Vicenza throughout December and until Epiphany. Promoted by the Municipality of Lonigo together with local associations and traders, it offers a widespread programme of events encompassing culture, music, tradition, and solidarity.

The Christmas Village

The beating heart of the festivities is Piazza Garibaldi, which hosts the Christmas Village and the traditional carousel for children throughout December. Around the square, markets, chalets, nativity scenes, and light installations create a warm and festive atmosphere in the town.

Shows, Music, and Workshops

The programme is particularly rich in offerings for families and children: theatre shows, concerts, Christmas-themed entertainment, creative workshops, and cultural events take place throughout the month. Among the performers are characters like the clumsy Elf and the magic of Olaf and the Elves, as well as concerts by the Filarmonica di Lonigo at the Municipal Theatre.

Tradition and Community

The festivities traditionally conclude with the Brusa la Vecia on January 6th, the Epiphany bonfire organised by the Alpini Group. Natale a Lonigo thus confirms itself not only as a calendar of events but as a moment of community that involves the entire historic centre of Lonigo.
