NAIF Balfolk Festival

The festival moves to Naples

With the third edition, from October 10 to 12, 2025, the NAIF Balfolk Festival left the coastal locations of the first two years—Agerola in 2023, Sorrento in 2024—to enter the urban fabric of the city of Naples, in the spaces of the FOQUS Foundation in the Spanish Quarter.

The stage featured Bal de L'Éphémère, Plume, Ba.fnu, the Duo Clercx, Kaleidoscope, the Hartwin Dhoore Trio—with Hartwin Dhoore also performing solo—Popolo Vascio, and Philippe Plard. The workshop program combined European repertoires, including a workshop dedicated to Czech dances, with a session on Southern Italian dances.

Among the most appreciated activities were the urban trek through the alleys of the Spanish Quarter and a dance moment in the gallery, with jam sessions extending the party every night until late, both in the hall and in the square.

Opening at 6:30 PM with a workshop dedicated to Czech dances and, from 8:45 PM, the evening dance concerts, concluded by the late-night jam session.

Saturday, October 11, 2025

Full day of programming: urban trek through the alleys of the Spanish Quarter in the morning, a dance moment in the gallery, workshops on Southern Italian dances in the afternoon, evening concerts from 5:15 PM, and jam sessions until midnight.

Sunday, October 12, 2025

Workshops and concerts from late morning, with the festival closing on Sunday evening.

Performers included Bal de L'Éphémère, Plume, Ba.fnu, Duo Clercx, Kaleidoscope, Hartwin Dhoore Trio, Hartwin Dhoore (solo), Popolo Vascio, and Philippe Plard.
