About Mythos Festival

The Mythos Festival brings classical theatre and reinterpretations of Greek myth to Montebelluna. Born in Treviso and curated by the Tema Cultura Association, in 2026 it expands to the territory with the Olympia 2026 edition, dedicated to sport in antiquity on the occasion of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. Between the MeVe โ€“ Villa Correr Pisani and the Auditorium of the Municipal Library, the performances reinterpret Homeric myths and the great figures of antiquity with avant-garde staging techniques.

Greek Myth on Stage

The Mythos Festival is the classical theatre review that, born in Treviso, extends to Montebelluna, in the province of Treviso. Curated by the Tema Cultura Association, the festival reinterprets the great Greek myths and figures of antiquity with a contemporary theatrical language and avant-garde staging techniques.

Olympia 2026

The 2026 edition, titled Olympia 2026, is dedicated to classical Greek sport as a ยซrite, myth, and celebration of immortal fameยป, in dialogue with the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. The performances take place between the MeVe โ€“ Villa Correr Pisani and the Auditorium of the Municipal Library in Montebelluna, two locations that provide a refined backdrop for a journey through theatre, words, and images.

A Widespread Festival

Mythos involves several cities in the Veneto region in a program that intertwines myth, history, and current events. In Montebelluna, the events range from female figures of antiquity to Homeric heroes, with performances combining acting, music, and cinematic techniques, enhancing the cultural heritage of the Marca Trevigiana.

The Mythos Festival 2026, 5th edition titled Olympia 2026, brings two classical theatre performances dedicated to Greek myth to Montebelluna: on March 8th Cinisca, the Princess Who Spoke to Horses, and on May 22nd Achilles and the Others, Rhapsody of Heroes. Performances at the MeVe โ€“ Villa Correr Pisani and the Auditorium of the Municipal Library, curated by the Tema Cultura Association.

The 2026 edition of the Mythos Festival, the fifth, is titled Olympia 2026 and dedicates its program to classical Greek sport in dialogue with the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. In Montebelluna, two performances are scheduled that reinterpret Greek myth with avant-garde staging techniques, from the figure of the first Olympic winner to Homeric heroes, curated by the Tema Cultura Association.
