Mycological Exhibition of the Volterra Mycological Group

The 2025 edition of the Mycological Exhibition of the Volterra Mycological Group was held in Volterra, in the province of Pisa, during the usual autumn period. The event confirmed its role as a point of reference for mycology enthusiasts in the Val di Cecina territory.

Group members displayed fresh specimens collected in the surrounding woods, accompanying the public on a journey of discovery dedicated to forest biodiversity. Particular attention was paid to safe foraging and the distinction between edible and dangerous species, with direct advice from expert mycologists. The initiative, with free admission, was part of Volterra's autumn event calendar.
