Mussel Festival 2025
The 2025 edition of the Mussel Festival took place in Ischitella on August 19th, confirming the mid-summer gastronomic appointment in the heart of the Gargano, in the province of Foggia. The stalls in the historic center offered mussels in traditional preparations—marinated, au gratin, and roasted—along with other Apulian specialties such as frise, taralli, and pasticciotti.
In addition to the tastings, the evening offered a brass band concert with folk music, folkloric shows with Salento dances like the pizzica and taranta, craft markets, rides, and activities for children. The festival concluded with a fireworks display that illuminated the sky of the Gargano village.
