Edition 2025 — Muro Leccese Carnival

In 2025, the Muro Leccese Carnival confirmed the vitality of the festival in Muro Leccese, Salento. The Mercato delle Idee hosted alternating masquerade nights with music and DJ sets, including the "Chi vuol esser lieto sia" event with prizes for individual and group costumes, a food & beverage area, and free admission. There was no shortage of moments dedicated to tradition, such as the popular satire of "Sasà 'Mpallatu" and the rituals accompanying the end of Carnival.

2025 Muro Leccese Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Muro Leccese Carnival took place in Muro Leccese, Lecce province, with the Mercato delle Idee as the star of the festivities. The masquerade night "Chi vuol esser lieto sia" enlivened the cultural space with DJ sets, entertainment, vocalists, the Carnival Girls, a food & beverage area, and prizes for the best individual and group costumes, all with free admission. Alongside the contemporary party, the town renewed its Salento folk traditions, from the famous "Sasà 'Mpallatu" to the Carnival puppet procession, closing the carnival season in anticipation of Lent and the caremme.
