Municeddha Festival

The 39th edition

From August 10th to 14th, 2025, Cannole hosted the 39th edition of the Municeddha Festival, five evenings that confirmed the event as one of the most popular in Salento, with over one hundred thousand visitors and about 250 volunteers involved. In 2025, the festival once again carried the UNPLI "Quality Festival" mark.

Tradition and innovation alternated on the Piazza degli Eventi stage: the opening, on Sunday, August 10th, was entrusted to Antonio Castrignanò & Taranta Sounds with the Babilonia show, a sonic journey into reinterpreted pizzica. Subsequent evenings featured folk groups, tribute bands, and DJ sets until late at night in the cocktail bar area. In the kitchen, the municeddha in its three versions and all the dishes of the Salento rural tradition.
