Edition 2025 — Mousikè
The first edition of the Mousikè Festival, subtitled Festival of Sound in Relation, inaugurated the Fiesole School of Music's series from September 28 to November 17, 2025. The guiding idea, inspired by the ancient Greek concept of mousikè téchne, was to unite all performing arts, from music to dance and theater, with a particular focus on the creative impulse of young artists and the social and inclusive value of music.
The inaugural concert, Latin Connections, was held on September 28 at the Teatro della Compagnia in Florence. Among the most significant events were Cimarosa's The Music Master and Mozart at Villa La Torraccia, Haydn's The Creation at the Church of Ognissanti, and the concert Mozart: Youthful and Adult Miracles at the Teatro Verdi. The festival concluded on November 17 in the Red Hall of Villa Demidoff in Pratolino. Performers included pianist Alexander Lonquich, cellist Tanja Tetzlaff, and pianist Andrea Lucchesini.
