Edition 2025 — Parmigiano Fair of Casina
The 59th edition and the title of City of Cheese
From August 1st to 4th, 2025, Casina (RE) hosted the 59th Mountain Parmigiano Reggiano Fair, one of the most significant editions in its history. At the Parmigiano counter in Via Roma and at the dairy stalls, it was possible to taste and buy the cheese produced in the four provinces, discovering its different aging stages and pairings with honeys, wines, vinegars, and grappas.
Among the most followed events were the 8th Wheel Cutting Competition and the 13th Palio Città di Casina, with 45 mountain dairies competing. On Monday, August 4th, in Piazza IV Novembre, the official conferral of the title of City of Cheese to Casina by ONAF took place. There were also concerts, ballroom and country dancing, magic shows, entertainment for children, costumed visits to Sarzano Castle, and the final fireworks display.
