2025 Edition
The 2025 Most Holy Crucifix Festival was celebrated in Buscemi over the weekend of May 3 and 4. On Saturday, May 3, the village streets welcomed stalls of local products, while music enlivened the center with the Civica di Modica Street Band along Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the Baciami Piccina Swing Band in Piazza Roma. On Sunday, May 4, at 11:00 AM, the morning procession took place with the venerated 16th-century statue of the Most Holy Crucifix, accompanied by the brass band and fireworks; in the evening, after the procession, a fireworks display at the Requesens Castle and a concert by the Mosaico Band in Piazza Roma took place. A festival that, in the Iblei village of the province of Syracuse, renewed the town's oldest popular devotion.
