Edition 2025 — Most Holy Crucifix Festival

In 2025, Castronovo di Sicilia once again celebrated its Most Holy Crucifix Festival, the "Festa du tri di maju". As per tradition, the central moment was the grand procession on May 3rd, with the wooden statues of the saints carried on the shoulders of devotees from the Mother Church through the streets of the town, in honor of the 1301 wooden Crucifix.

Most Holy Crucifix Festival 2025

The 2025 edition renewed the most important festival of the town in Castronovo di Sicilia, in the Province of Palermo. The heart of the festivities was the procession on May 3rd: after the Solemn Mass in the Mother Church, the simulacra of the saints, led by the patron saint San Vitale, paraded through the streets of the center, with the fercolo of the Most Holy Crucifix closing the procession. The festivities concluded with the traditional fireworks, confirming the festival as the identity-defining event for the Castronovo community.
