Mosaic Workshop - Fanano Symposium

The 2025 edition of the Mosaic Workshop was part of the rich twentieth edition of the International Symposium of Fanano, which renewed the historic sandstone sculpture event with a multidisciplinary format. At the end of May, a group of students from the Academy of Fine Arts of Ravenna held a residency in Fanano (MO) dedicated to creating a mosaic artwork made with materials collected from nature. The mosaic dialogued with the land art section of the Symposium, marked by the artwork Altar of Time and Fertile Water by Michele Ciacciofera, inaugurated at the EcoArea del Lido. This free-admission initiative confirmed the Symposium's openness to contemporary art alongside Fanano's stone carving tradition.
