The "moo-ed" run of Treviso, mixing sport, fun, and charity
MoohRun is the most cheerful non-competitive race in Treviso: a running and fun event that every spring brings thousands of people โ runners, walkers, families, and children โ to race through the historic centre and the city's Walls, dressed in cow-themed costumes, amidst colours, music, and fun. The stopwatch doesn't matter: participating, having fun, and doing good is what counts.
The event was born in 2015 from the idea of a group of friends from the association A.S.D. La Butto in Vacca, which evolved from a group that participated in obstacle races. Since then, MoohRun has become a regular fixture on the Treviso calendar, attracting participants from outside the region as well (over 40% of participants in the last edition came from outside Veneto).
The race offers two routes โ one of about 6 km and one of about 10 km โ starting from Bastione San Marco, along the city walls on Viale d'Alviano. The event's headquarters is the MoohVillage, where bibs are collected and where, at the end of the race, everyone celebrates with cicchetti, beer, music, and entertainment.
The heart of MoohRun is charity: in ten editions, the event has donated a total of over โฌ100,000 to charitable associations in the Treviso area. Each year, beneficiary organizations are identified to receive part of the proceeds, making the race a true collective gesture for the community.
The tenth edition of MoohRun, renamed MoohRun X, took place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, with the participation of around 2,000 people, of whom over 40% came from outside the Veneto region: a sign of the event's growing popularity beyond Treviso's borders.
The start was given at 9:30 AM from Bastione San Marco, along the Walls, on two routes of approximately 6 and 10 km. The "X" of the tenth edition was interpreted as a symbol of multiplication: of emotions, kilometres, friendships, and stories. The official shirts, in a limited run of 1,100 pieces, sold out a month before the event.
Beneficiaries 2026: Una Mano per un Sorriso For Children and Associazione Per Mio Figlio Onlus.
The MoohVillage and the start line are located in Viale Bartolomeo d'Alviano, at Bastione San Marco, a few minutes' walk from Treviso Centrale train station. Traffic diversions in the historic centre are planned for the morning of the event.
Registration is done online on the official website. The basic fee starts at around โฌ16 and includes a bib, refreshments, a photo, and access to the MoohVillage; the official technical shirt is a limited edition and often sells out well in advance.
Race packs and bibs can be collected at the MoohVillage the day before (afternoon) and on the morning of the race.
