Live music from emerging bands in the city squares
The Monza Live Sound Festival is the event that transforms the squares of the historic center of Monza, the capital of Brianza, into widespread stages for live music. Every Friday evening in the summer, the heart of the city comes alive with free concerts by bands, in symbolic locations such as Piazza Roma, Piazza San Paolo, the Ponte dei Leoni, and Spalto Maddalena.
The festival has a clear mission: to give a voice to emerging bands. Over a hundred groups from all over Italy take turns on stage during the evenings, offering the public a vibrant and diverse panorama of the youth music scene. For many of these musicians, playing in Monza's squares is an important opportunity for visibility, while for the audience, it's a way to discover new artists in an informal and free setting.
Promoted by the Municipality of Monza, which provides the equipment for the performances, the Monza Live Sound Festival is a free admission event that enlivens the city's summer evenings. The concept of widespread stages enhances urban spaces and creates a festive atmosphere in the historic center. For the people of Monza and visitors to Brianza in the summer, it's the ideal opportunity to experience the squares to the rhythm of live music.
The 2026 edition of the Monza Live Sound Festival is the third edition of the event and takes place every Friday evening from June 26th to August 1st in the squares of Monza's historic center, from 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM. A preview event will precede the festival on June 26th. Over a hundred emerging bands from all over Italy will perform in free concerts over six evenings, with equipment provided by the Municipality.
