Edition 2025 — Middle-earth
The origins of the festival
The Montescudaio Middle-earth event officially debuted in June 2026, with its first edition at the Parco Comunale del Boschetto in Montescudaio, in the province of Pisa. In 2025, the event was still in the planning stages, as part of the path initiated by the Italian Tolkien Studies Association to establish a permanent event in the Tuscan coastal territory dedicated to the work of J.R.R. Tolkien and the fantasy world. The festival is ideally linked to the Tolkien in the Etruscan Valleys exhibition, of which it serves as a prelude in the village of Montescudaio.
