The vinyl record festival in the Montesacro district of Rome
The Montesacro Vinyl Fest is the record fair that brings the Montesacro district in North Rome to life every year. Hosted at the Associazione Culturale Defrag on Via delle Isole Curzolane, just a stone's throw from the Jonio metro station (Line B1), it has quickly become a landmark for vinyl collectors and music lovers in the capital and across the Lazio region.
The heart of the event is a true vinyl market: a selection of exhibitors from Rome and beyond showcases the best in vinyl and CDs, ranging from rarities for discerning collectors to great finds for newcomers discovering the charm of records for the first time. Alongside the vendor stalls, independent record labels take center stage, highlighting a vibrant and alternative music scene.
However, the Vinyl Fest is more than just buying and selling; it is a day of celebration. DJ sets, played strictly on vinyl, provide a non-stop soundtrack to the event, while a stand dedicated to vintage hi-fi allows visitors to rediscover turntables and classic audio equipment. The event also features live broadcasts from an independent radio station and a food & drink area where you can grab a bite and enjoy a drink in good company.
Organized by Vinyl Fest Italy and DischiXFiaschi in collaboration with Defrag, the event is held under the patronage of the Rome III Montesacro Municipality and is designed as a plastic-free, environmentally conscious event. Admission is free, based on a voluntary donation model, maintaining the convivial, neighborhood atmosphere that has made the festival so popular. Between the stalls, you will find enthusiasts, curious visitors, musicians, and collectors, all united by their passion for vinyl records.
