Montebuono Music Festival

The second edition

In 2025, the Montebuono Music Festival returned for the second consecutive year, always in Piazza Umberto I and always organized by the "G. Verdi" Philharmonic Association, with the patronage of the Municipality. The public response convinced the organizers to continue: the announcement of the third edition, the following year, arrived well in advance.

The formula

Also in 2025, the event combined evening concerts with free admission with the craft market — over forty stalls of creative handicrafts — and food stands managed by volunteers, with schiacciata and mortadella baked in the communal oven as the signature dish, accompanied by extra virgin olive oil from the Sabina region.

A model of a village festival

For a municipality of a few hundred inhabitants, managing to put on two evenings of good live music is far from taken for granted. The credit goes to the work of the volunteers and the long history of the local band, active since 1814, which continues to be the cultural engine of Montebuono and a good part of the Rieti Sabina.
