Edition 2025 — International Folk Festival

From August 7 to 9, 2025, the International Folk Festival returned to Monte Sant'Angelo after a fifteen-year absence, bringing dances and music from around the world back to Piazza Duca d'Aosta. The stage featured international groups from Mexico and Georgia alongside groups from Puglia, with evening performances starting at 8:00 PM, preceded by the traditional parade of caparisoned mules in the historic center.

The return of the Festival in 2025

The 2025 edition of the International Folk Festival, held from August 7 to 9 in Piazza Duca d'Aosta, marked the return of the event after about fifteen years. Organized by the Gruppo Folk La Pacchianella, the festival brought great international folklore back to Monte Sant'Angelo.

Participating groups

The stage hosted foreign delegations such as the Compañía de Danza México Vivo from Mexico City and the Georgian Dance Ensemble Tamarisi from Tbilisi, alongside Italian groups: the Gruppo Folk "Città dei Trulli" from Alberobello, "I Sammecalere", "Sud Folk", and the local hosts "La Pacchianella".

Evenings and parades

Every evening, starting at 8:00 PM, the performances were preceded by the evocative parade of caparisoned mules that crossed the historic center along via Gambadoro, Corso Garibaldi, Piazza Beneficenza, and Corso Reale Basilica, amidst the public and tourists.
