Monte Rosa Walserwaeg by UTMB

The inaugural edition of the Monte Rosa Walserwaeg by UTMB was held from July 18 to 20, 2025, bringing an event of the international UTMB World Series circuit to Valle d'Aosta for the first time. Based in Val d'Ayas and passing through the territory of Brusson, the event offered the circuit's characteristic distances — from the 120 km of Les Sentiers des Valdôtains to the 15 km of the Regina Margherita Trail — attracting Italian and international trail runners to the historic Walser paths at the foot of Monte Rosa. The debut solidified the event as one of the new major trail running events in the Alps, highlighting the natural and cultural heritage of the Valle d'Aosta Region.
