Edition 2025 — Montagne Nostre

The 12th edition of Montagne Nostre was held in Piasco from January 16 to 19, 2025, at the Sala Polivalente, with free admission. Four evenings featuring travel documentaries, lectures on mountain safety, and mountaineering stories on Monviso, organized by the Companìa Quat Pass to share the Alpine culture of the Varaita Valley.

The twelfth edition of Montagne Nostre offered four evenings dedicated to the mountain world in Piasco, from January 16 to 19, 2025, at the Sala Polivalente, with free admission. The program ranged from the documentary "Va' Sentiero" by Andrea Buonopane on the Sentiero Italia, to Alberto Abba's lecture "What saves us from an earthquake", to the mountaineering history of Monviso with Adriano Mattio ("I cavalieri del Re di Pietra") and the docufilm "Il ritorno del mulo da trasporto". The festival closed on Sunday with the screening of the film "Un mondo a parte".

Thursday, January 16 — 8:30 PM

  • Documentary "Va' Sentiero" by Andrea Buonopane, with Yuri Basilicò, on the Sentiero Italia from Trieste to the Sibillini Mountains.

Friday, January 17 — 8:30 PM

  • "Il fermento della Valle Varaita", a journey through the valley told by local protagonists;
  • Alberto Abba: "Cosa ci salva da un terremoto".

Saturday, January 18 — 8:30 PM

  • Adriano Mattio: "I cavalieri del Re di Pietra", forty years of mountaineering on Monviso;
  • Davide Demichelis and Philipp Landauer: "Il ritorno del mulo da trasporto", a documentary on pack animal transport to mountain huts.

Sunday, January 19 — 5:00 PM

  • Screening of the film "Un mondo a parte".

Highlights

Among the most followed events were the documentary "Va' Sentiero" on the Sentiero Italia and the mountaineering evening "I cavalieri del Re di Pietra" dedicated to forty years of climbs on Monviso.
