Edition 2025 — Mons Pagus
The 8th edition of the historical re-enactment Mons Pagus A.D. 1566 was held on July 25 and 26, 2025, in the village of Montepagano, a hamlet of Roseto degli Abruzzi (Teramo), from 7:00 PM until midnight. Organized by the Associazione Culturale Vecchio Borgo, the event featured over two hundred participants in Renaissance costumes animating the alleys of the historic center.
Between roving theatrical performances, drummers, flag-wavers, street performers, falconers, dancers, jesters, traditional crafts, and gastronomic tastings, the public relived the daily life of the 16th century and the 1566 episode, when the village was threatened by an Ottoman felucca. The edition confirmed Mons Pagus as one of the most followed historical re-enactment events on the Teramo coast.
