Edition 2025 — Monferr'Autore – Van De Sfroos

The Monferr'Autore Festival is a young festival of singer-songwriter music and culture that brings the province of Alessandria to life. Its identity, built around dialogue with artists and 'provincial stories', is rooted in the vibrant cultural scene of the Monferrato and Alessandria areas, a hilly territory recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and long linked to music and popular storytelling.

The Monferr'Autore Festival was created to bring great singer-songwriter music and cultural storytelling to the squares of small towns in the Alessandria area, including Volpedo, a town in the Val Curone famous for the painter Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo. The festival's formula combines concerts, meetings, and 'live journalism', with artistic directors engaging in dialogue with their guests.

Volpedo and the villages of the Monferrato have long offered an ideal setting for musical and cultural events, enhancing the hilly landscape and local traditions. It is in this spirit that the festival has built its programme, choosing songwriters and narrators capable of transforming provincial stories into a universal language.
