Mondo Donna 2025: the 12th edition
The twelfth edition of the Mondo Donna Award was held on Friday, August 29, and Saturday, August 30, 2025, in Piazza Matteotti in Capo d'Orlando, organized by the Pro Loco led by Salvatore Monastra, who hosted the evenings together with Valentina Campanella and Alessandra Di Bello.
Numerous women were honored for their achievements in social, healthcare, cultural, sports, journalistic, entrepreneurial, and artistic fields, alongside school principals from the area and representatives of the Guardia di Finanza and the Local Police of Capo d'Orlando. Among the awardees, there were recognitions for literature, research, theater, and journalism.
A central moment of the edition was the announcement of the creation of the Sara Campanella Foundation, dedicated to the fight against femicide through education, in memory of the young student killed in Messina. The musical entertainment on Friday evening was provided by the Cherry Bombs.
