Moncada Race - Angelo Moncada Memorial

The first edition of the Mezza Maratona delle Due Province, in 2025, inaugurated the new running appointment organized by A.S.D. Pietro Guarino Rosolini between the towns of Rosolini, Ispica, and Pozzallo, straddling the provinces of Syracuse and Ragusa.

In addition to the 21.097 km half-marathon, the day offered a shorter race starting from the historic center of Ispica, which crossed the Baroque architecture and joined the main route: it is from this formula that, in the following edition, the 11 km Moncada Race dedicated to the memory of Angelo Moncada was born. The event, from its debut, was included as the inaugural stage of the regional 'Mare e Monti' Grand Prix, with a free shuttle service for the return.
