The great international youth rugby tournament at the Quaggia stadium
The Mogliano Veneto City Tournament is a historic event for youth rugby, hosted at the Stadio Maurizio Quaggia in Mogliano Veneto, in the province of Treviso. Organized by Mogliano Veneto Rugby, it brings together numerous mini-rugby clubs from all over Italy and abroad.
The tournament involves the various youth categories, with dozens of teams and about a thousand athletes on the field. The day begins with qualifiers in the morning and continues with finals and awards in the afternoon, in an atmosphere of sport, hospitality, and the "third half" which is at the heart of the region's rugby culture.
Among the most coveted awards is the Maurizio Quaggia Award, presented by the Quaggia family to the best club in the tournament, after whom the stadium hosting the event is also named.
The XXXVI edition of the Mogliano Veneto City Tournament was held on March 29-30, 2026, at the Stadio Maurizio Quaggia, preceded by the Under 14 tournament on March 9, won by Petrarca Padova. The event brought together numerous mini-rugby clubs and about a thousand young athletes.
The opening ceremony was held on the stadium's main field with the national anthem, in the presence of the deputy mayor of Mogliano Veneto Leonardo Muraro and the president of the FIR Veneto Regional Committee. The Maurizio Quaggia Award for the best club was presented by the Quaggia family to Mogliano Veneto Rugby.
Mogliano Veneto is located along the Terraglio (SR89), between Mestre and Treviso, served by the Venezia–Treviso train station and the A27 motorway (Mogliano Veneto exit). The Stadio Maurizio Quaggia hosts the matches.
