The Mirabello Food Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Mirabello, a historic hamlet of the Municipality of Terre del Reno, in the Province of Ferrara. For two consecutive evenings, the central Piazza Matteuzzi transforms into a large open-air lounge, with numerous food stalls, excellent products, and specialties to enjoy while strolling among the stands.
The star: Cotoletta Mirabellese
The signature dish of the event is the Cotoletta Mirabellese, a typical local recipe that has made the area's gastronomy famous far beyond the borders of Ferrara. Alongside this specialty, you'll find the flavors of Emilian tradition, in a journey designed for those who love good food and the conviviality of village festivals.
Music, fashion, and sports
The evenings aren't just about food: musical entertainment accompanies dinners and strolls, while the program is enriched with side events designed to involve the entire community, from families to young people. The Mirabello Food Festival is promoted by the Pro Loco of Mirabello with the patronage of the Municipality of Terre del Reno and is part of the local food and wine tradition, recognized with the Sagra di Qualità (Quality Festival) mark by UNPLI Emilia-Romagna. The Mirabello Food Festival 2026 brought the festival of taste back to Piazza Matteuzzi for two evenings, confirming itself as a well-established event for the Terre del Reno area, in the Province of Ferrara. Food stalls, excellent products, and local specialties enlivened the piazza from 7:00 PM until late, with Cotoletta Mirabellese as the culinary highlight.
Alongside the food, the program combined music, fashion, and sports to engage the entire community.

Friday, May 22, 2026
- From 7:00 PM — Opening of food stalls in Piazza Matteuzzi: dinners in the piazza with local menus and Cotoletta Mirabellese as the signature dish.
- In the evening — Musical entertainment to accompany dinners and strolls among the stalls.
Saturday, May 23, 2026
- From the afternoon — Trofeo Olimpia, a basketball tournament for elementary school children at Parco Quadrifoglio (free registration, ice cream offered to participants).
- From 7:00 PM — Opening of food stalls in Piazza Matteuzzi.
- From 9:00 PM — Fashion show in Piazza Matteuzzi.
- In the evening — Musical entertainment.

Where it takes place
The festival is held in Piazza Matteuzzi, in the center of Mirabello, a hamlet of the Municipality of Terre del Reno (FE), postal code 44047.
Opening hours
Food stalls open from 7:00 PM onwards, until late evening.
How to get there
By car: Mirabello is easily accessible from the SS 255 state road connecting Ferrara to Cento; from Ferrara city, travel about 20 kilometers northwest. By train: the reference station is Ferrara, on the Bologna-Venice line, from which you can continue by bus or car.
Good to know
