Edition 2025 — Mineo Medieval Festival

In May 2025, the Mineo Medieval Festival brought Contrada Fondacaccio, at the Mineo crossroads (CT), to life with a day of open-air historical re-enactment. Knights, flag-wavers, amazons, falconers, fire-eaters, and dancers took the audience back to the Middle Ages, with duels, a girls' palio, and the medieval horse tournament curated by the Equites Menarum association. Ample space was dedicated to children's entertainment, with free admission.

The 2025 edition of the Mineo Medieval Festival took place in May in Contrada Fondacaccio, at the Mineo crossroads, in the province of Catania. The event offered the usual medieval setting, with knights, flag-wavers, amazons, falconers, fire-eaters, and dancers.

Among the highlights were the duels, the girls' palio, and above all the grand medieval horse tournament performed by the knights of the Equites Menarum association. There was no shortage of themed musical performances and a large area for games and animation dedicated to children. Admission was free, confirming the popular character of the event in the Calatino territory.
