Millenary Fair of the Assumption

The 2025 Millenary Fair of the Assumption was held on August 13th, 14th, and 15th in the area of the Abbey of Santa Maria di Ronzano, in Castel Castagna, in the province of Teramo.

On the afternoon of August 13th, the evocative re-enactment of harvesting and threshing took place, performed with vintage machinery and traditional methods. The days of August 14th and 15th, the heart of Ferragosto, featured the livestock show with Marchigiana cattle, the market for agricultural and local products, an exhibition of field machinery, and food stalls serving Abruzzese specialties.

A central moment, as per centuries-old tradition, was the blessing of children celebrated in the church with the relic of the True Cross kept at Ronzano, attended with great participation by families from the Teramo area.
