Milano Cortina 2026 - Ice Hockey at the Santa Giulia Arena

During 2025, the Santa Giulia district of Milan saw the progress of work on the new Ice Hockey Arena (PalaItalia), one of the symbolic venues for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The arena, designed for approximately 16,000 spectators, was conceived to host the Olympic ice hockey tournaments and to remain as a legacy for the city as a large space for sports and events. The approach to the Games included tests, trials, and logistical preparation of the area, in view of the competitions in February 2026.
