Midsummer Watermelon Dream

The 2025 edition of the Midsummer Watermelon Dream took place on August 11, 2025, in Piazza Frà Benedetto, in the center of Foiano della Chiana, as part of the municipal summer calendar. As per tradition, the evening focused on the Valdichiana watermelon, a noble fruit with a great local tradition.

The public was able to taste the different types of watermelon grown in the Valdichiana and learn about their history thanks to the experts from the Valdichiana Rampi farm, in collaboration with the Municipal Administration. Between tastings, stories from the producers, and live music, the event renewed its character as a popular and convivial festival, capable of drawing residents and visitors to the square in the heart of summer.
