Micigliano Pasquarella

The 2025 edition

The 2025 Micigliano Pasquarella took place as per tradition on the evening of January 5th, in the historic center of Micigliano, a small municipality in the province of Rieti on the slopes of the Terminillo.

The ritual remains the same: singers in pastoral costumes knock from house to house, performing well-wishing verses passed down orally, accompanied by the organetto, ciaramella, and tambourine. Families reciprocate with food and wine, following the ancient logic of the quest. The evening concluded in the square with the Pupazza, the papier-mâché Befana covered in fireworks that burns to ward off misfortune from the coming year.

The organization was handled for this edition as well by the Pro Loco Micigliano-Terminillo Tourist Association, together with the village families.
