Edition 2025 — Scarponi Trophy

The first edition of the Michele Scarponi Trophy was held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, as a single-stage race, a national junior road race of 97 kilometers with 1700 meters of elevation gain, from Castelraimondo to Camerino, in the heart of the Marche seismic crater. Almost eight years after the champion's death, the Marche region has finally dedicated a trophy to the Eagle of Filottrano.

The 1st Michele Scarponi Trophy saw the light in September 2025, organized by ASD Avis Frecce Azzurre of Camerino with the patronage of the Municipalities of Castelraimondo and Camerino, the Michele Scarponi Foundation, and the University of Camerino.

The race, reserved for the junior category (athletes between 17 and 18 years old), covered 97 kilometers with 1700 meters of elevation gain through climbs and ascents, starting from Castelraimondo and finishing in Camerino. The winner was Stefano Cavalli, who won in a two-man sprint ahead of Schiavo. A successful debut, which laid the groundwork for the doubling in 2026.
