Edition 2025 — Mezzano Romantica
The 2025 edition of Mezzano Romantica reached its fifteenth season, again under the artistic direction of Francesco Schweizer, with six theatre and music performances held from April to August in the village of Mezzano (province of Trento).
The festival opened in April, for the feast of Saint George, patron saint of Mezzano, with the Voces Clarae vocal ensemble from Vicenza and «Li scolari Suonatori» in the village church. On June 20, I corvi e la neve was performed, a semi-staged reading of Dylan Thomas with Elisa Breda (narrator) and Marco Celli. On July 23, the duo Cristian Battaglioli and Marco Rinaudo (saxophone and piano) presented a program of American music. On August 8, a multidisciplinary show dedicated to Marc Chagall was presented, featuring original compositions, projections, and narration based on texts by Bella Chagall. On August 13, the most anticipated concert featured cellist Giovanni Gnocchi, one of the most important in Italy, accompanied on the piano by Alessandro Stella. The grand finale, on August 20, saw the young German pianist Jonas Aumiller perform a program entirely dedicated to Chopin. All performances were free of charge.
