About Mestre Carnival

The Mestre Carnival brings the grand parade of allegorical floats to the heart of the Venetian mainland. Colorful floats and hundreds of costumed participants parade through the streets of Mestre's center, from Via Piave to Via San Pio X, in a procession accompanied by music and entertainment. It is one of the most attended events in the mainland program of the Venice Carnival.

The Carnival of Mestre's Center

The Mestre Carnival is the grand parade of allegorical floats that enlivens the center of the mainland of Venice. Included in the program of the Venice Carnival, it attracts a large audience every year along the main streets of Mestre, in a colorful and festive procession.

A Procession in the Heart of the City

The parade crosses the city center starting from Via Piave, continuing along Via Circonvallazione, Via Einaudi, and Via San Rocco, until it concludes in Via San Pio X. Allegorical floats and hundreds of costumed participants create a spectacle of colors, accompanied by music and entertainment.

Music and Festivities for Everyone

The procession is punctuated by music and involves families, children, and costumed groups in an atmosphere of popular joy. The streets of Mestre fill with confetti and masks, in one of the key days of the mainland Carnival.

Mestre and the Venice Carnival

As part of the program of the Carnival of Venice (VE), in Veneto, the Mestre parade confirms the deep roots of Carnival traditions in the mainland, alongside the water-based events in the historic lagoon center.
