As the festive season arrives, Campobasso is adorned with lights and Christmas spirit. The Christmas markets and the "Natale è Meraviglia" programme bring the historic centre to life with characteristic wooden chalets in Piazza Pepe and along the main streets, offering local products, crafts, and decorations for trees and nativity scenes.

The heart of the festivities is Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, featuring an ice-skating rink, Santa's House, and areas dedicated to children. The programme includes nativity scenes, children's shows, juggling and magic performances, gospel and choral concerts, as well as initiatives like "Molise Creativo" (Creative Molise) and a vintage market.

From Advent until Epiphany, Campobasso presents a rich calendar of events for families, children, and visitors, making the historic centre a place for gathering and celebration. The Christmas markets reaffirm the role of the capital of the Province of Campobasso as a focal point for the holidays in the Molise Region.
Natale è Meraviglia — edition 2026
For Christmas 2026, Campobasso is once again igniting the festive atmosphere with its Christmas markets and the "Natale è Meraviglia" events. Following the pattern of previous years, the programme includes wooden chalets in Piazza Pepe and the historic centre, an ice rink in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, Santa's House, nativity scenes, children's shows, magic and juggling, gospel and choral concerts, as well as "Molise Creativo" and a vintage market. The detailed schedule will be announced by the Municipality of Campobasso closer to Advent.

Where and When
The markets take place in the historic centre of Campobasso (Piazza Pepe and surrounding areas) and in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II for the ice rink, traditionally from the beginning of December until Epiphany. Free entry to the markets; the ice rink has a fee.
