The Melon Festival of San Zenone di Minerbe is held in the hamlet of San Zenone, in the municipality of Minerbe, in the province of Verona. The event celebrates the early melon, a crop historically linked to the Basso Veronese territory, and for years it has been one of the most anticipated events of late spring in the area.
Food and conviviality
Organized by GPI San Zenone APS, the festival offers four evenings dedicated to food, music, and conviviality. The food stands open every evening from 7:30 PM and serve typical dishes alongside melon risotto, which has become one of the event's symbols over time. The star melon also features in numerous fresh and original dishes.
Music and dancing
The heart of the entertainment is the characteristic steel dance floor, a typical element of Venetian village festivals, where music and dancing alternate every evening: from DJ sets to afro nights, up to the grand finale with a ballroom orchestra. A free event that combines the agricultural tradition of Basso Veronese with popular entertainment, enhancing the hamlet of San Zenone and the entire municipality of Minerbe.
Melon Festival of San Zenone — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Melon Festival of San Zenone di Minerbe takes place from Friday, May 29th to Monday, June 1st, 2026, organized by GPI San Zenone APS. Four evenings dedicated to the early melon of Basso Veronese, with food stands open every evening from 7:30 PM and melon risotto among the most beloved specialties. The characteristic steel dance floor hosts a musical program ranging from DJ sets to afro nights to ballroom dancing. Free admission.

How to get there
San Zenone is a hamlet of Minerbe (VR), in the Basso Veronese area, reachable by car. From Verona, take the SS434 Transpolesana towards Rovigo, exit at Minerbe. By train, Minerbe station on the Verona–Rovigo line.
