Mediterranean Competition 2025

From May 8 to 11, 2025, the Norman-Swabian Castle of Sannicandro di Bari hosted the 2025 edition of the Mediterranean International Music Competition, promoted by the Art Ionica Association of Taranto with the patronage of the Municipality of Sannicandro di Bari. The event opened on May 8 with the National Section reserved for students of music-oriented middle schools and music high schools, chaired by Maestro Claudio Ciampa, and continued in the following days with sections dedicated to soloists and ensembles.

In 2025, the jury again had Maestro Annibale Rebaudengo as honorary president, and the event remained dedicated to the memory of pianist Pia Antonacci and baritone Antonio Sallustio. The performances, with free admission, confirmed the international vocation of the competition, a point of reference for young musicians from Apulia and the Mediterranean.
