Edition 2025 — Mediterranean Competition

The 32nd edition of the Mediterranean Contemporary Ceramics Competition took place at Castello Episcopio in Grottaglie from July 12 to October 12, 2025. 73 works selected from 362 entries by 236 artists from around the world were exhibited. The first prize went to the work 'Ultime terre' by Marta Palmieri.

32nd edition 2025: art and peace

The thirty-second edition of the Mediterranean Contemporary Ceramics Competition was held at Castello Episcopio in Grottaglie from July 12 to October 12, 2025. The jury selected 73 works from the 362 entries submitted by 236 artists from countries across all continents, including Germany, the United States, Taiwan, Poland, Greece, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, the Philippines, Colombia, Malaysia, China, and Japan.

The First Prize Mediterranean was awarded to the work Ultime terre by Marta Palmieri (Italy), which entered the collection of the Ceramics Museum; further recognition went to Katia Terpigoreva (Russia) and Lixia Guo (China). The edition reaffirmed the message of art and peace that has characterized the Apulian event for years.
