Edition 2025 — Mediterranean Competition
32nd edition 2025: art and peace
The thirty-second edition of the Mediterranean Contemporary Ceramics Competition was held at Castello Episcopio in Grottaglie from July 12 to October 12, 2025. The jury selected 73 works from the 362 entries submitted by 236 artists from countries across all continents, including Germany, the United States, Taiwan, Poland, Greece, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, the Philippines, Colombia, Malaysia, China, and Japan.
The First Prize Mediterranean was awarded to the work Ultime terre by Marta Palmieri (Italy), which entered the collection of the Ceramics Museum; further recognition went to Katia Terpigoreva (Russia) and Lixia Guo (China). The edition reaffirmed the message of art and peace that has characterized the Apulian event for years.
