Edition 2025 — Mediterranean Book Festival
The first edition of the Mediterranean Book Festival was held in Aspra (Bagheria, PA) from Friday, June 20 to Sunday, June 22, 2025, in Piazza Crocicchia, under the patronage of the Municipality of Bagheria and organized by the Pro Loco Bagheria Genius Loci and Gino Gagliano, the creator of the initiative.
On Friday, the novels La Stella Mancante by Marco Palumbo, Jane e altre Storie by Antonella Liotta, and Il Delitto della Crocicchia by Sergio Grimaldi were presented, along with the volume Una generazione a faccia in giù by Ugo Piazza. Saturday featured the presentation of the book Wemed – Società, economia e ambiente nel Mediterraneo (CNR Edizioni) by Prof. Salvatore Capasso, alongside musical interludes and demonstrations. Sunday was dedicated to the installation exhibition La biodiversità invisibile, curated by CNR-ISMed, focusing on marine animals. The three days alternated between meetings, debates, and workshops led by experts and local cultural and environmental associations.
