Edition 2025 — Medievalia

On Sunday, June 29, 2025, Castel di Lucio hosted Medievalia, the medieval historical re-enactment that animated the historic center of the Nebrodi village from the late afternoon. Between Piazza Umberto I and the town streets, a medieval village, archery, bird of prey and snake displays, and flag-wavers and musicians from the City of Caccamo followed one another. Grand finale with the costumed historical pageant dedicated to the Ventimiglia era, up to the ruins of the Ventimigliano Castle.

Medievalia 2025 in Castel di Lucio

The 2025 edition of Medievalia took place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, in Castel di Lucio, in the province of Messina, starting in the late afternoon in Piazza Umberto I. For a full day, the Nebrodi village returned to the Middle Ages, with a medieval village animated by costumed performers.

The program included an archery range, exhibitions and displays with birds of prey and snakes, as well as performances by flag-wavers and musicians from the City of Caccamo and medieval music groups. The day concluded with the costumed historical pageant inspired by the Ventimiglia era, which crossed the historic center up to the ruins of the Ventimigliano Castle. The event, with free admission, was also made possible thanks to funding under the PNRR – NextGenerationEU.
