Edition 2025 — Medieval Re-enactment
The 35th edition of the Medieval Re-enactment of Castel di Casio was held on Friday, August 22 and Saturday, August 23, 2025, starting from 6:30 PM, in the streets of the historic center and the Piazzetta della Torre.
For two evenings, the village was populated by ladies, knights, jesters, fire-eaters, acrobats, and figures dressed as witches, prostitutes, lepers, washerwomen, and alchemists. The program featured shows by flag-wavers, duels, falconers, and fire artists, a market of ancient crafts, and the historical pageant with drummers and clarion players mid-evening. The Friday evening also hosted the historical-cultural conference "The mountain before the year 1000" given by Prof. Renzo Zagnoni, followed by dinner with typical dishes in the village inns.
The event, organized by the Pro Loco of Castel di Casio with the patronage of the Municipality, had free admission and confirmed its place among the most beloved summer events of the Bolognese Apennines.
