Medieval Festival – Ocre Tempore Medii Aevi

Third edition: August 2-4, 2025

From August 2 to 4, 2025, the village of San Panfilo d'Ocre hosted the third edition of the "Ocre Tempore Medii Aevi" Medieval Festival. Saturday was inaugurated by a lecture from Prof. Alfonso Forgione of the University of L'Aquila on the castle of Ocre, followed by the "Ocre VR Experience," theatrical performances, and the medieval dinner in Piazza San Salvatore with fire games.

Sunday featured a tour of the Norman castle excavations, a FIDE Rapid chess tournament, falconry displays, jesters, games for children, a procession of flag-wavers with dancers, and the "Fuoco a corte" show. The event concluded on Monday with a guided tour of the Monastery of Santo Spirito and the archaeological museum, along with the music and dance show "Bel fior Dança." Admission was free for almost all activities, with reservations required for the medieval dinner.
