Edition 2025 — Medieval Fest

The 13th edition of the Medieval Fest took place in Brindisi from September 5 to 7, 2025, dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the imperial wedding between Frederick II of Swabia and Yolande of Jerusalem, celebrated in the city in 1225. Between the Palazzina del Belvedere, the Casa del Turista, and the historic center, the event featured historical re-enactments, street performers, ancient craft workshops, Slow Food tastings, and an evocative video mapping show on the waterfront.

Medieval Fest 2025 — 13th Edition

From September 5 to 7, 2025, Brindisi celebrated the 13th edition of the Medieval Fest, an entire weekend dedicated to the Middle Ages and the figure of Frederick II. The main theme was the 800th anniversary of the wedding between the Emperor and Yolande of Jerusalem, which took place in Brindisi in 1225.

The historic center and the waterfront were transformed into an open-air museum: costumed re-enactors, street performers, demonstrations of ancient crafts in the Borghi dei Saperi, and gastronomic tastings curated by Slow Food Brindisi in the Borgo dei Sapori. There were also moments of cultural insight, such as the historical dialogue with Giacomo Carito, and a spectacular video mapping projection on the facade of the Casa del Turista. The edition also focused heavily on accessibility, with tactile maps, audio QR codes, and sign language support.
