Edition 2025 — MedFest Buccheri
The 2025 edition of MedFest, the 28th, was held in Buccheri from August 15 to 17, in conjunction with the 13th edition of the Medieval Drum Festival.
On Friday, August 15, the inaugural procession started from the Sant'Antonio Abate Staircase towards Piazza Roma, kicking off the evening dedicated to drums with groups such as the Buccheri Drummers, the Grifoni di Biscari - Tamburi di Acate, the Tamburini della Nobilissima Parte de Sopra of Assisi, and the Giocolieri e Tamburi of Delia. On Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th, the historical pageant crossed Piazza Roma, Piazza Toselli, the Castello District, and other areas of the village, featuring knight duels, stilt-walkers, jugglers, and the spectacular fiery "Devil's Parade".
The grand finale, on the night between August 17 and 18, featured a joint performance by the drummers, a fireworks display, and a concert by the band I Pendragon. The event, with free admission, was organized by the municipal administration of Buccheri.
