Edition 2025 — Matilde di Canossa Tournament

The third edition of the Matilde di Canossa Tournament took place in the spring of 2025 in Quattro Castella (Reggio Emilia), confirming the event as one of the reference points for historical flag-wavers and musicians in Emilia-Romagna. The participating companies competed in the usual flag specialties, animating the town center with the colors and music of the Matildic re-enactment tradition, awaiting the fourth edition in 2026.

III Matilde di Canossa Tournament

The third edition of the Matilde di Canossa Tournament brought flag-waver and historical musician companies to Quattro Castella, in the province of Reggio Emilia, for another day of flag competitions. The event renewed the link between the art of flag-waving and the re-enactment tradition of the Matildic lands, in anticipation of the fourth edition in 2026.

With spectacular throws, flag-waving, and musical performances, the tournament confirmed its role as a showcase for the best Italian companies, in a technical competition that enhances the historical and cultural heritage of Quattro Castella.
