Edition 2025 — Mater Domini Fair

The 2025 edition of the historic Mater Domini Fair took place on Saturday, November 8, and Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Piazza San Giorgio, Bagnolo del Salento. Two days dedicated to the traditional market, autumn flavors, and Salento folk music, with free admission and artistic direction by Dilinò. The event, organized by the Municipal Administration and the Pro Loco, renewed a tradition documented since 1860.

Mater Domini Fair 2025

The 2025 edition was held on Saturday, November 8, and Sunday, November 9 in Piazza San Giorgio in Bagnolo del Salento (LE), with artistic direction by Dilinò and organized by the Municipality and the Pro Loco.

Saturday, November 8, the fair opened at 8:00 PM with food stands, followed at 9:30 PM by a concert by Consuelo Alfieri, voice and face of the Notte della Taranta Orchestra. Sunday, November 9, the market enlivened the square and the historic center streets from the early morning, with stalls, aperitifs, and DJ sets, concluding at 9:00 PM with a concert by iPenisola, dedicated to the most beautiful songs of Italian music. Admission was free.

Programme

Saturday, November 8, 2025: 8:00 PM opening of food stands; 9:30 PM concert by Consuelo Alfieri (voice of the Notte della Taranta Orchestra). Sunday, November 9, 2025: from the morning, market in Piazza San Giorgio and the historic center, with aperitifs and DJ sets; 9:00 PM concert by iPenisola.
